Overview
We are seeking a Calgary-based Class 1 Driver experienced with Super B trailers for scheduled regional and long-haul linehaul routes. We have scheduled hours and the driver will be home for the weekend. The current lane is Hanna to Regina and back.
This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight handling, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 Vehicles, including Super B Trailers for the transportation of freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
Experience
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License and minimum 3 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Super B trailer experience preferred, with a clean driver’s abstract
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing and complete a road test in Calgary
- Two professional references from previous employers
- Strong safety mindset, reliable work ethic, and Alberta-based preferred
