Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to learn new skills. Prior experience in construction or handyman work is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing and construction trades.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Use caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or other structural work as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on-site
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, roofing, or handyman work is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with hand tools, caulking, and heavy lifting is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and general construction projects
- Previous experience working with construction safety standards is a plus
