The Job
Passage Marine is looking for a Marine Service Technician; full-time, permanent, based in Campbell River. If you take pride in your work and want to be somewhere that operates the same way, keep reading.
The core of this role is outboard service and rigging. You'll handle diagnostics, repair, seasonal service, and rigging across recreational and light commercial vessels. Inboard and diesel work rounds out the role, with occasional field days alongside our diesel techs across the Island.
The Shop & Team
Our shop is well equipped, organized, and maintained, we take pride in how we operate. There are six of us. We hold a high standard, have a good attitude, and look out for each other. If you show up, do the work, and treat people well, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Outboard service, diagnostics, and repair
- Rigging; new installs, re-rigging, upgrades
- Seasonal servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Inboard and diesel work as needed
- Field days alongside our diesel techs across the Island
- Representing Passage Marine professionally on every vessel and job site
What We're Looking For
- Solid outboard experience; any brand, any level. Certification is a bonus, not a requirement
- Rigging experience, or the drive to develop it
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and comfort working independently
- Your own tools, a Class 5 with a clean abstract, and the ability to work on the water in varying conditions
- Someone who communicates clearly, takes pride in the work, and makes the team better by being there
