Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team starting September in beginning of new academic year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching French to children from grades 3-6. This role involves educating students in the French language, fostering their communication skills, and promoting a love for the language and culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Educate students in the fundamentals of the French language, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Provide tutoring support for students needing additional assistance in mastering the French language.
- Integrate technology into lessons using Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance student engagement.
- Conduct proofreading sessions for student assignments and projects to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other educators to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities, particularly in subjects like math where applicable.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices and trends in language instruction.
Experience
- Proven experience teaching French to children, ideally in a classroom setting or through tutoring programs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively and foster a supportive classroom atmosphere.
