As a Mobile Service Technician, you will provide expert on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance for our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Service Technician who thrives in a field-service environment and delivers outstanding customer support. This role requires strong technical expertise, solid troubleshooting ability, and excellent verbal communication skills. You will provide on-site mechanical service, maintain accurate documentation, and be prepared to travel on short notice as needed.
●Mobile Field Service: Deliver timely, efficient and professional mechanical support at customer locations across assigned territories.
●Technical Expertise: Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines, transmission differentials, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and related equipment.
●Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, or via email, providing clear technical guidance and maintaining strong customer relationships.
●Repair Documentation: Accurately document all service activities, parts usage, and consumables, ensuring clear communication with Service Advisors for billing.
●Generate Service-Leads: Initiate service calls with new customers and identify opportunities to generate leads for the Service Department.
●Maintenance: Keep the mobile service truck, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained through regular servicing and upkeep.
●Safety and Compliance: Perform all maintenance and repair tasks safely while adhering to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
●Professional Representation: Conduct all business in a manner that reflects Stahl Peterbilt’s values, culture, and commitment to customer satisfaction, supporting key company initiatives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION
Certified Journeyman Truck and Transport Technician
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Q endorsement and a clean driver abstract; required
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office – Excel and Word)
Must pass drug and criminal record check prior to hiring
Must provide own tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MX and Cummins certified; considered an asset
Knowledge of engine and gear repair, including experience with computer-based diagnostics
1-2 Years of experience as a mobile service technician; negotiable
