The Opportunity
The Finance & Accounting Co-op will support the Finance team with a variety of accounting, reporting, and financial analysis activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end activities, accounts payable, and audit support, while contributing to the exciting startup and growth of production operations.
The successful candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop practical accounting and finance experience while working closely with cross-functional teams.
This posting is for a newly created internship position to support our growing manufacturing operations.
What You Will Do

Assist with accounts payable processing and invoice management.
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
- Perform bank account reconciliations and assist with general ledger reconciliations.
- Help prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and statements.
- Support year-end audit activities, including gathering documentation and responding to audit requests.
- Assist in developing and extending accounting reports to support production startup and operational growth.
- Perform financial data entry and ensure accuracy within accounting systems.
- Support basic financial analysis, variance review, and reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to gather information and resolve routine inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects as required.
What You Bring

Currently enrolled in a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial applications is an asset.
- Interest in AI tools and their application within finance and accounting processes is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Previous internship, co-op, or related work experience is an asset.
What We Offer
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22 to $24 per hour.
