Banff Caribou Properties is seeking a hands-on Commercial Laundry Supervisor to lead our commercial laundry operation that services multiple hotels and restaurants throughout Banff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supervising teams in warehouse, manufacturing, production, distribution, housekeeping, industrial laundry, or other fast-paced operational environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laundry production activities, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Oversee the sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivery of laundry items
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the facility
- Train and mentor staff on proper laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with hotel clients or other customers to meet specific laundry requirements
- Implement quality control measures to ensure all items meet company standards
- Manage inventory of supplies and linens to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Document production metrics and prepare reports for management review
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Lead, Shift Lead, Production Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Housekeeping Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Experience in commercial laundry, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, production, housekeeping, hospitality, distribution, or industrial operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including Outlook and Excel.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate a company vehicle and laundry truck.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift, push, and pull heavy linen carts and laundry loads.
- Perform repetitive tasks in a production environment.
- Assist in all areas of the operation when required.
Compensation
- $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
