Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable licensed Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, along with experience in related trades such as carpentry, HVAC, and welding. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial installations, ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems. Candidates should possess excellent mechanical knowledge, be comfortable working with various tools and schematics, and demonstrate the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. A commitment to safety, heavy lifting capabilities, and the ability to read technical drawings are essential for success in this role.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and modify plumbing components
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installations or repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues before they escalate
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC to coordinate project tasks
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols on-site
- Assist in troubleshooting complex plumbing problems using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, material estimates, and layout planning
- Operate construction vehicles or commercial driving equipment as needed for project transportation
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing installation and repair with a solid understanding of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of carpentry, HVAC systems, welding, and construction practices is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting complex issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including construction sites or maintenance facilities
