Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and schematic reading is highly preferred. The Auto Mechanic will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and repairs.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify problems and solutions
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assemble parts and components as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as required
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and addressing customer concerns
- Follow safety protocols during all repair activities, including heavy lifting and handling hazardous materials
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership or automotive service environment
- Knowledge of automotive systems, electronics, and mechanical components
- Experience with welding, schematics reading, and vehicle assembly is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive client interactions
