JOB DESCRIPTION
This role involves helping to keep our quarry equipment running safely and efficiently by maximizing the reliability of our equipment and systems. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, planning maintenance, sourcing parts, and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime and keep production moving.
Working closely with the quarry team, you'll oversee the maintenance of a diverse fleet of equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, trucks and trailers, and quarry processing equipment. While we complete a variety of routine maintenance and troubleshooting on site, you'll also coordinate with outside service providers for more specialized repairs when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and support daily operations.
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs where appropriate.
- Source parts, materials, and maintenance supplies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate outside contractors and specialized service providers for major repairs.
- Schedule preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records and equipment service history.
- Communicate regularly with the quarry team to prioritize repairs and operational needs.
- Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
- Experience sourcing parts and coordinating equipment repairs.
- Ability to balance maintenance priorities with operational needs and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
LOCATION
Quarry operations are located approximately 15 minutes from Cranbrook, BC, on Lumberton Road.
HOURS
Full-time, typically Monday-Friday.
WHAT WE OFFER
