The Opportunity
Fowler Construction is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day work of HR operations. This includes coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and general HR administration. The role helps keep information accurate, ensures processes are followed consistently, and supports work in line with company policies and employment standards. It also works closely with teams to keep things organized and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Maintain employee files and HRIS data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare employment documentation including offer letters, contracts, and employee status changes.
- Monitor the Human Resources email inbox and distribute information or requests to appropriate HR team members.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Human Resources team.
- Respond to employee inquiries and assist with routine Human Resources administration.
- Support Human Resources initiatives and projects including engagement activities and policy updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable employment legislation.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner.
Key Skills
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
- One year of Human Resources experience is preferred; however, it is not required.
- Strong organizational skills with clear oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-directed, organized, and able to work with little supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is considered an asset.
