Role Description
We are looking for a full-time Site Foreman with experience in sewer and water mains. The Site Foreman plays a key leadership role on construction sites, overseeing daily operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. They supervise crews, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety regulations, and provide updates to the Project Manager to ensure project milestones are met.
Site Foreman – Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of site crews and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely project delivery
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies and procedures on site
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction documents to direct work effectively
- Communicate daily with the Project Manager regarding progress, challenges, and scheduling
- Monitor materials, tools, and equipment on-site to avoid delays and maintain site efficiency
- Identify and resolve site-related issues quickly to avoid project disruptions
- Participate in site meetings and assist in enforcing project timelines and standards
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, deliveries, and safety checks
- Uphold AEGC’s standards of workmanship and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a Site Foreman, Lead Hand, or similar supervisory role in construction
- Experience working with a municipality.
- Experience with underground services, sewer and water mains
- Strong understanding of excavation, demolition, and general contracting processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and safety documents
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Solid knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience working with residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects
- Valid G driver’s license and reliable transportation to various job sites in the GTA
- First Aid, WHMIS, and other relevant safety certifications are considered an asset
