The Role
This position is ideal for an emerging accounting professional in public practice who is looking to build on their experience and take on increasing responsibility across files and client work.
You will be involved in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, support senior team members on engagements, and develop your technical and client service skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare compilation engagements, including financial statements and supporting working papers
- Prepare corporate and personal tax returns
- Assist with tax planning and advisory engagements for owner-managed businesses
- Communicate with clients to gather information and respond to inquiries
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support senior staff and managers on a variety of client engagements
- Identify issues and bring forward solutions for review
- Contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in public practice
- Progress toward a CPA designation (or recently completed)
- Experience with corporate and personal tax preparation
- Familiarity with CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar software is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and a client-focused approach

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
