Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting project estimation processes, and working alongside the Senior Estimation Analyst, coordinating bid preparations, and ensuring accurate pricing for upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of construction estimating, and experience with industry-standard tools.
Job Summary/Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates.
- Update and maintain estimate databases and software (autoCAD).
- Prepare detailed analytical tender/bids.
- Accurately read and analyze architectural, structural, civil, and landscaping drawings to prepare scopes and quantities.
- Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to build, long term trade relationship.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Collaborate with management, contractors and field teams to gather necessary data for accurate pricing.
- Prepare estimates of labour, equipment, and/or material costs, etc...
- Review, markup, and manage project drawings and documentation.
- Coordinate bid packages, ensuring all required documents are complete and submitted on time.
- Support negotiation processes with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing.
- Manage project documentation related to estimates, including scope of work, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Track historical data and maintain databases to improve estimating accuracy over time.
- Facilitate communication between estimating teams, procurement, and project execution departments.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing with subcontractors and vendors.
- Experience with project management principles within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with estimating software platforms.
- Solid understanding of construction estimating processes, including cost analysis and scope development.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
