Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of vehicles and equipment. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Repair or replace faulty components including electrical systems, mechanical parts, and hydraulic systems
- Work on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment as needed
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for maintenance or repair tasks
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of mechanical systems during repairs or upgrades
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and maintaining professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair with dealership or independent shop background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC components, welding, and industrial equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and schematics interpretation
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately using technical manuals and schematics
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for both automotive vehicles and industrial machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good communication abilities for customer interactions
- Familiarity with welding techniques and electrical systems is advantageous
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $23.45-$46.39 per hour
