Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pallet Repairer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and refurbishing pallets to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. The candidate must have experience using tools such as a nail gun and should also have experience in the relevant field.The ideal candidate will have experience with woodworking, machinery operation, and a strong mechanical aptitude. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic warehouse environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Duties
- Inspect damaged or worn pallets to determine repair needs
- Use power tools, hand tools, and woodworking equipment to disassemble and rebuild pallets
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely to move materials
- Measure components with calipers and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Utilize CNC machines or machining tools for precise repairs when necessary
- Assemble new pallets or refurbish existing ones according to specifications
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and completed pallets throughout the workday
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience with woodworking, machining, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse safety procedures
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, calipers, and basic mechanical concepts
- Strong understanding of construction, assembly, and machining processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to pallet construction and repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus but not required
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
