Position Details
Job Title: Part-Time Medical Administrator / Clinic Receptionist
Location: 1865 Leslie Street, North York, ON
Hours: 15–20+ hours per week
Job Type: Permanent, in-person position (not remote, not temporary)
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Communication & Customer Service
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly
- Assist with new patient bookings and inquiries
- Provide information about clinic services
- Manage cancellations and appointment changes
- Front Desk & Reception Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally
- Create a welcoming, organized clinic environment
- Appointment Scheduling & Coordination
- Book, reschedule, and optimize appointments
- Coordinate schedules with healthcare practitioners
- Medical Administration & Records Management
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Use electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently
- Billing & Insurance
- Process payments and receipts
- Handle direct insurance billing and patient inquiries
- Clinic Operations Support
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic
- Assist with day-to-day clinic administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Strong Communication Skills
- Professional phone etiquette and clear written communication
- Customer Service Experience
- Experience in medical reception, clinic administration, or healthcare customer service is an asset
- Organization & Multitasking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Technical Skills
- Comfortable with computers, scheduling software, EHR systems
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Drive, and office tools
- Professionalism & Confidentiality
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with care
- Work Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Assets:
- Experience with phone-based customer service
- Experience with direct insurance billing in a healthcare setting
