Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in ABELDENT. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and supporting the overall functionality of the dental office.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments accurately while managing multi-line phone systems.
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing using dental practice management software.
- Collect payments, co-pays, and handle financial transactions efficiently at the front desk.
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally via phone or in person, providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist is required. Minimum 3 years experience.
- Proficiency with Abeldent is a must.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records management.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling front desk responsibilities.
- Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills—friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanor required.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Tuesday: 8:30-4:30
Wednesday: 11:00-7:00
Thursday: 9:00-5:00
Friday: 8:30-4:30
Alternating Saturdays: 9:00-3:00
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
