We are seeking skilled and detail - orientated Automation Machine Attendants to join our team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete a per-inspection of equipment and record/report findings.
- Understand work order requirements and material specifications from setup sheet/ work orders/ drawings.
- Efficiently and accurately set up and operate equipment based on the production schedule.
- Ensure material being received is to specification and defect-free (no dents, waves, stains, oils, flatness, etc.)
- Modify programs as needed and necessary (if trained in this regard).
- Replace worn- out punching tools with new or sharpened tools after confirming correct tool height.
- Complete "first-off" - verify part against specifications using squares, calipers, tape measure, etc.
- Produce order quantity as required and ensure productivity output and quality is maintained.
- Document equipment/material/ programming issues and communicate with management as appropriate.
- Maintain inventory of required material in the tower (as per the minimum and maximum).
- Troubleshoot / resolve common machine issues.
- Perform routine cleanup on machine; keep work area clean and organized.
- Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operate level.
- Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks (i.e., cleaning bend tooling, removing scarp from worktables, dusting optical sensors, vacuuming, cleaning plexiglass windows).
- Train staff on running and maintaining the system as needed.
- Ensure welders have received necessary training.
- Ensure the throughput and quality of the spot welders.
- Set up and adjust the spot-welding equipment.
- Assist maintenance crew as needed.
- Assist spot welders as needed.
- Train spot welders, set up welding stations, and ensure quality and production throughput from welders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational and other requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma with a noted preference in automation, robotics or maintenance/ mechanical/ electronic related fields.
- Understanding of Motor Driven conveyors.
- Knowledge of sensors (Proximity sensors, temperature sensors, pressure sensors).
- Knowledge of Vacuum grippers and magnetic grippers used in robots and automated machines.
Physical Capabilities:
- Mechanical dexterity with good hand eye coordination.
- Ability to lift heavy items - weight handing up to 22.5 Kg (50lbs).
Specific Skills:
- Must be able to communicate in English fluently.
- Read and interpret drawings for grinding and finishing requirements.
- The ability to use a variety of measuring devices such as tape measures, verniers and calipers. (Note: you will be asked to demonstrate the use of above-mentioned measurement devices).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with the usage of hand tools.
- Work experience on Salvagnini or Trumpf is an asset.
