CFAA Fire Alarm Technician

We are currently seeking a motivated, experienced, and CFAA-certified Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be a skilled and well-rounded professional with strong technical expertise, a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, verify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems.
- Perform fire alarm system verifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Service and maintain emergency lighting systems and portable fire extinguishers.
- Diagnose equipment and system deficiencies and provide effective solutions and recommendations.
- Complete system upgrades, repairs, and modifications as required.
- Prepare accurate and detailed inspection, verification, service, and deficiency reports.
- Respond promptly and professionally to service calls and customer requests.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service and system reliability.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service calls.
- Work safely and comply with all company and industry safety standards.
- Assist with additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Current Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken, written, and reading comprehension).
- Valid G Class Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Electrical Engineering Technician Diploma or related education is considered an asset.
