This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating technical project execution, and is passionate about helping deliver complex construction and field projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams, managing schedules and documentation, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and successfully.
Opportunity
As the Project Coordinator, you play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of structural steel projects by coordinating engineering, detailing, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and field installation activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of structural steel projects.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project communications between clients, consultants, suppliers, fabricators, and field crews.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and erection crews to support field operations.
- Assist with scheduling manpower, cranes, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Monitor site progress and communicate project updates to management.
- Help resolve field issues and coordinate responses to RFIs and change requests.
- Ensure project documentation complies with applicable safety regulations.
- Coordinate required site documentation and safety records
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably in structural steel erection and Welding.
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, mining, institutional, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods and field installation processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software (Excel,Word,Outlook)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Bilingual preferred
- Valid driver’s licence
