SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our client, a privately held real estate management firm in East York is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. Reporting to the Controller this role offers very meaningful and interesting work including direct interaction with senior management.
They are seeking a highly motivated detail-oriented Senior Accountant who takes pride in precision, accuracy, strong financial discipline, and possess excellent people skills. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys accounting, thrives in structured environments, and has exceptional mathematical ability combined with hands-on manual and automated accounting experience.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the month-end and general accounting. Specific responsibilities include:
· Preparation and analysis of financial statements including variance analysis
· Cash flow and budget preparation
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations and working papers
· Month end accruals and adjusting entries
· Provide support to the year end external review process
· Excel spreadsheet analysis and reporting
· Handling government remittances
· Payroll processing

Requirements:
To be considered for this Senior Accountant opportunity,
· 3+ years of experience working in the month end reporting cycle
· CPA designation or actively working towards a designation or qualified by experience
· College diploma or University degree
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
· Intermediate to advanced level MS Excel skills
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail
