Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently between Canada and the United States to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
Duties
- Operate trucks to transport freight in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Be able to identify defects and contact proper repair facilities as needed while on the road.
- Properly plan and navigate to customers by using GPS.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- FAST approved
- At least one full year or more of AZ driving experience
- A clean driving record.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform minor automotive repairs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road.
