Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance education, enjoy working with children, and possess excellent teaching skills. Prior experience in tutoring, classroom management, or early childhood education is highly valued.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement
- Prepare lesson plans that incorporate fundamental dance techniques and creative movement
- Organize performances or showcases to showcase student achievements
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate class schedules and special events
- Ensure the safety of all students during classes by adhering to proper safety protocols
- Assist with related activities such as costume fittings or event preparations when needed
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching dance, especially with children
- Strong ability to work with children in an educational setting
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct students and engage parents when appropriate
- Classroom experience or background in early childhood education is preferred
- Ability to create fun, dynamic lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for dance and education
