Job Summary
Village Chrysler is looking for a Parts Advisor to join our growing team. The Parts Advisor plays a crucial role in managing vehicle parts inventory, assisting internal and external customers, and supporting the service department. The Parts Advisor is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with external customers such as repair shops, fleet operators, and independent mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
- Process orders via phone, email, or in person
- Pick up and deliver orders as required
- Assist the Service Department in finding the right parts for vehicles daily
- Process parts orders and provide accurate pricing, availability, and delivery estimates
- Maintain an organized and up to date inventory of parts and supplies
- Conduct regular stock checks and reorder parts as needed/advised
- Handle incoming shipments, verify deliveries, and update inventory records
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure the timely availability of parts for repairs
- Source and supply special-order parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Track all back-orders and ensure timely delivery of parts
- Ensure warranty parts are properly processed and documented
- Use dealership software to track inventory, generate invoices, and process transactions
- Maintain records of parts sold, used, returned, or exchanged
- Arrange and oversee deliveries to wholesale customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a courteous manner
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of automotive parts, brands, and industry trends
- Experience as a parts advisor/wholesaler or a related role in a dealership or parts distributor is an asset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with dealership inventory management software
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain management
- Must be able to lift and transport automotive parts safely up to 25lbs
