Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of vehicles and machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing a wide range of mechanical skills and tools to ensure vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. Candidates with dealership experience and familiarity with heavy and industrial equipment are highly preferred.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair or replace components on excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify issues and perform repairs.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators as needed for maintenance or repair tasks.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical systems during repairs or upgrades.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Dealership experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic scanners.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Experience working with industrial equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, and schematics interpretation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various machinery types including Caterpillar equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are preferred but not required.
Pay: $20.00-$46.42 per hour
