Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and general construction work. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and the ability to work as a team in Winnipeg and in Northern Manitoba communities.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Conduct high voltage and low voltage wiring tasks while adhering to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Engage in renovation projects requiring electrical modifications or upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Aide in other aspects of renovations or new construction such as interior finishing, rough carpentry, etc.
Skills
- Proven experience as an residential electrician or commercial electrician.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Experience in construction site operations and frame carpentry is a plus.
- Maintenance Person experience is beneficial for addressing various maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
