NEEDED October 21st
Global Cathodic Protection Inc. has been contracted by the City of Ottawa to do maintenance work on their municipal watermains. The project will begin on Oct 21st and wrap up in 4-5 weeks. This is a short term employment opportunity and there is no work with Global Cathodic Protection Inc. after this project is complete.
All candidates must live in Ottawa. There is NO travel allowance or hotel accommodations available.
Vacuum (Vac) Truck Operator Responsibilities:
Valid DZ license and clean abstract is essential.
Safely drive and operate vacuum truck units to perform hydro-vac excavation, daylighting, and debris removal.
Control high-pressure water and suction hoses to expose underground utilities, pipelines, and other structures.
Load, transport, and dispose of excavated materials, debris, and fluids.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment.
Identify and report hazards, near-misses, and equipment issues.
Perform basic maintenance checks, cleaning, and troubleshooting on equipment.
Complete required paperwork, logs, and reports (trip sheets, service records, disposal manifests).
Track fluid levels, waste loads, and disposal documentation accurately.
Assist crew members with setup, hose handling, or additional tasks as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.
Good communication skills are important as you will be working closely with your swamper.
All candidates must wear appropriate PPE including Hard Hat, Safety Boots and High Visibility Vest. Global will supply eye protection, gloves and ear buds. All candidates must complete on-line safety courses (prior) before start date.

This is a short term employment opportunity and there is no work with Global Cathodic Protection Inc. after this project. Employment contracts will be given outlining all duties with signature of employee and Management.
Pay will be every Thursday via direct deposit.
