Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton SW – Windermere is currently seeking a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to join our busy hospitality team. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about guest service and able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment. Applicants must have previous front desk experience with an IHG hotel brand.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle guest inquiries, reservations, and requests efficiently
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest needs
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Process room reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately
- Complete night audit procedures, balance daily transactions, and prepare financial and operational reports during overnight shifts
- Perform overnight security walks and monitor hotel safety during night shifts
- Respond to late-night guest requests, emergencies, and operational issues professionally
- Prepare and organize daily reports for hotel management and morning shift staff
- Ensure breakfast area preparation and lobby cleanliness standards are maintained before morning operations begin
Job Requirements
- Previous front desk experience with an IHG hotel is mandatory
- Opera PMS experience required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Must be flexible to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Excellent command of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
