About the Role:
The Plant Manager will coordinate across multiple departments, drive workflow efficiency, and implement process improvements to meet production targets and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who is comfortable working on the floor, managing teams, understanding of welding, CNC and leading a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily shop operations across multiple production teams.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with CNC operators, welders, fabricators, and other departments to ensure streamlined workflow.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, safety, and output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges as they arise.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide production activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Provide hands-on guidance as needed, including having an understanding of CNC, welding and managing a shop environment
- Occasional travel is required for this role.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a machining or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comfortable performing hands-on tasks, including TIG welding.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
