We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen with meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Duties
- Meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Prepare and cook menu items while upholding high quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly.
- Organize and store food items properly to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report shortages to the manager.
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Support other staff as needed during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Mandarin speaker preferred.
- A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques.
- Open to work at two locations ( College Street & King West)
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
