Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Automotive Detailer to join our team at Village Chrysler. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an eye for perfection, ensuring that every car meets our highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
As a Detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning, polishing, preparing, and maintaining the appearance of all new and used cars for deliveries, providing exceptional services for our clientele.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform thorough interior and exterior detailing, including but not limited to washing, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and deep cleaning.
- Apply treatments as per company standards.
- Inspect and assess vehicles for imperfections or damage
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tire inflation and battery charging.
- Communicate any vehicle issues or concerns to the Service Manager
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be restocked.
- Maintain a clean and organized detailing area, ensuring all tools and supplies remain in optimal condition
- Assist with vehicle preparation for showroom display, test drives, and customer deliveries
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Adhere to dealership standards and manufacturer guidelines for vehicle care
- Assist with other duties as needed, including lot organization and customer service.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in automotive detailing or similar work.
- Strong knowledge of detailing techniques, products, and tools
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Ability to work independently, with precision and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ceramic coatings, paint correction, and vehicle finishes is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively identify issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional demeanour with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Must have a valid G driver's license.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent.
