JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Reports To: SERVICE MANAGER
Job Purpose
The Service Technician is in charge of inspecting and repairing powersports unit, small engines, and other items are required. The Service Technician completes maintenance inspections, assembles components, and performs repairs.
The Service Technician understands how to run diagnostics on a vehicle and communicate with the Service Writer in a clear and concise manner. This position reports to a lead Service Manager and works directly with the Service Writer.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Maintain machinery, systems, and powersports on a regular basis.
● Assemble components in accordance with the instructions.
● Examine machines and completes diagnostic tests to determine machine functionality issues.
● Create a plan of action for all maintenance and upgrade tasks.
● Keep track of work logs, repairs, and maintenance by using our LightSpeed system effectively.
● Conduct vehicle inspections and notify the Service Writer of any issues that will prevent their vehicles from passing inspection.
● Additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
● High school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
● It is preferable to have certification from a vocational or trade school.
● Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
● Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance, small engines, electrical, and electronic components.
● Understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
● Knowledge of safety regulations to protect against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, and so on.

Working Conditions
● Overtime may be offered
● Working hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm
● Exposure to various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
● Some tasks may require physical strength
● Extended periods of standing, bending, or working under vehicles.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.30-$26.50 per hour
