Job Description
IPC Academy is seeking a caring, organized, and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our growing school community. The successful candidate will support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of young learners while helping create a positive and engaging classroom environment aligned with the school’s Islamic values and mission.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom instruction and daily learning activities for kindergarten and early elementary students
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate programs following the Ontario curriculum and Islamic values
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Support students academically, socially, and emotionally
- Help prepare classroom materials, activities, and learning centers
- Observe and monitor student progress and communicate updates with teachers and parents
- Maintain attendance, student records, and classroom organization
- Supervise students during the classroom, lunch, recess, and school activities
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and school administration
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Follow school policies and contribute to school improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) preferred
- Experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting is an asset
- Strong communication and classroom support skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Caring, patient, and professional attitude
