French Tutor & Academic Mentor

As a French Tutor & Academic Mentor, you'll work with students in a supportive, collaborative environment where learning is personalized to each student's strengths, goals, and learning style. While students may bring schoolwork to their sessions, your role goes beyond homework support—you'll identify learning gaps, reinforce foundational skills, and help students become more confident, independent learners.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in French based on each student's learning needs and goals.
- Support students with homework while reinforcing the underlying concepts and building long-term understanding.
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.
- Monitor student progress and provide thoughtful feedback to parents and the Centre Team.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Complete session notes and other administrative responsibilities as required.
- Contribute ideas to continually improve our programs and student experience.
- Help every student build confidence, develop effective learning habits, and achieve meaningful academic growth.
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in French with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Experience teaching or tutoring French to elementary and/or secondary students.
- A passion for helping students learn, not just complete assignments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
- Comfortable assessing student understanding and adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
- Available for consistent weekly shifts, including afternoons, evenings, and/or Saturdays.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
