We’re looking for a highly motivated and charismatic individual to become part of our HR & Payroll team located in Aldergrove!
Scamp Transport is a family business that originally began in 1981 with just one truck. Through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to succeed, Scamp has evolved to become the premier bulk petroleum transporter in Western Canada. We’re now 97 trucks strong, with over 260 employees and 5 locations throughout BC and Alberta.
As the HR & Payroll Administrator, your main role is to ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time, and to provide “customer service” to our 260+ employees and managers.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Prepare & process biweekly payroll and year-end tax slips
- Facilitate employee onboarding and terminations
- Administer the Scamp Group Benefit plan
- Maintain personnel files
- Assist management with the stewardship of discipline processes
- Support / back-up to HR Manager for all HR functions
Personal Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of Federal employment legislation
- Thorough understanding of the full payroll cycle and year-end process
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information
Education & Work Experience Requirements
- Completed (or in the process of obtaining) a PCP designation, or some similar coursework with at least 3 years experience in processing payroll
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now an asset
- Completed or working towards a CPHR designation
