Job Summary & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a qualified AZ Driver to pickup/deliver structural steel members to Northern USA (mainly Michigan) and Ontario. This position reports directly to the Shipping Manager / Shop Forman. The successful candidate will have some experience in a fast paced custom steel fabrication setting. Knowledge on how to build and strap loads on open deck trailers - flat deck/step deck trailers is required. The individual is responsible to maintain and ensure safety and security of all cargo.
Qualifications:
Full time flatbed steel hauling position. Must be able to cross into USA and have a clean abstract. Loading and unloading structural steel members daily.
- Valid AZ Driver's License
- Clean criminal record to cross into the US
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, listening), problem solving, works well with others, task planning, attention to detail
- Knowledge of strapping and securing loads safely
- Experience hauling structural steel loads is an asset
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapting to change and work under pressure.
- Possesses a good attitude and work in a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime if required
- Accurate completion of driver logbook
- Other transportation duties as assigned by manager
