DMS Metals Ltd - a full-service scrap metals recycler with multiple locations (i.e. scrap-yards) throughout the GTA! We are looking for an experienced Non-Ferrous Buyer for our TORONTO LOCATION!
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for purchasing non-ferrous scrap metals from the public and various industrial accounts.
Required:
- Experience in metal recycling (i.e. particularly non-ferrous metals)
- Experience in operating a forklift
- Stellar customer service skills
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good physical fitness
- Ability to work well with others, safely, as a member of a team
Job Description:
- Interacting and communicating clearly and directly with customers and employees during the purchasing process.
- Responsible for accurately grading and weighing Non-Ferrous metals, and directing other employees in the Non-Ferrous receiving warehouse.
- Responsible for accurately weighing and tagging material to be input into DMS’ Inventory System.
- Will be involved with trying to improve quality, service, and operational efficiencies of all non-ferrous related functions and processes.
- Will be required to assist throughout the non-ferrous warehouse and/or yard as needed or assigned.
- Assisting with preparing shipments and receiving equipment using a forklift as required.
