Rosebud Feeders Ltd. is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Feedtruck Operator & Maintenance Technician. This position offers a diverse work environment that includes feeding cattle, operating equipment, performing feedlot maintenance, and servicing farm machinery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cattle are fed accurately and on schedule while maintaining the feedlot, facilities, and equipment to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Feeding Operations
- Operate a feed truck to deliver feed to designated cattle pens according to feeding schedules
- Ensure correct rations are delivered accurately and consistently
- Maintain feeding records and communicate any feeding concerns
- Monitor feed delivery equipment and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to strict feeding schedules and animal care standards
Feedlot Maintenance
- Clean and maintain feed bunks, pens, alleyways, and yard areas
- Repair and maintain fences, gates, water systems, and other feedlot infrastructure
- Assist with general site upkeep
- Operate tractors, skid steers, loaders, and other equipment as required
Equipment Servicing & Repairs
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on feed trucks, tractors, loaders, and farm equipment
- Complete basic mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
- Monitor fluid levels, tires, grease points, and overall equipment condition
- Assist with maintenance and equipment preparation
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience operating feed trucks, tractors, loaders, skid steers, or similar agricultural equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with equipment servicing and maintenance experience
- Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working around cattle in a feedlot environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
