We lost our receptionist to the medical field, she left us to go to school for nursing we are happy for her new journey but are having a hard time finding the right fit. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Receptionist ( Part-Time) to join our dynamic dental team. We are a privately owned general practice with three providers and a staff of 18 employees. You will be joining a front end team. Your role will be focused on booking and treatment planning for the owner. This vital role combines exceptional customer service with efficient administrative support, ensuring a smooth patient experience from appointment scheduling to insurance processing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced office, working evenings and weekends. Mandatory shifts ( Wednesday 11:30pam-7pm, and Saturdays 7:30am-4pm) all other days are based on personal preference . We are closed for all long weekends. We have lots of free parking, close to transit, food, shops and restaurants. This position we require a experienced receptionist with at least 2+ yrs working in the field, at time you will be working independently and experience is a must. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment at the front desk
- Manage appointment scheduling using Open Dental software
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility
- Conduct insurance verification and authorization processes to facilitate patient care and billing
- Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and professionalism
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
- Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; respond promptly to patient inquiries
- Facilitate intake procedures for new patients, including data entry and medical history updates
Experience
- Proven experience of 2+ years working as a Dental Receptionist
- Familiarity with dental practice management software Open Dental a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of insurance verification procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
