Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including exams and restorative treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and IPAC
- Record existing conditions, treatment plans and treatment done
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software such as Tracker and Dentrix is an asset
- Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental procedures and patient care
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with dental equipment operation and sterilization procedures
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required
- Certification in dental assisting or related training is highly desirable
- HARP certification is a must
