QMC Senior Project Manager
QMC Metering Solutions supplies and integrates several meter technologies to provide sub-metering systems to effectively monitor the consumption of electricity, water, gas and thermal meters. We have offices in Coquitlam, Calgary, and Toronto and has a support and distribution network across the country including Edmonton and Montreal.
The Senior Project Manager is an integral member of our team reports to the Senior Manager in our Toronto office. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Toronto office as well as delivering and managing projects.
The responsibilities will include:
- Implement an agreed action plan to the appropriate standards and deadlines
- Manage client expectations and project timelines
- Manage contractors and full cycle of project management
- Ensure the effective preparation and delivery of all project events, meetings and documentation
- Follow up with clients when the project installation is complete, schedule verifications, proceed with closing documents, and follow up with client as required.
- Responsible for effective flow of information between team members and stakeholders
- Evaluate ongoing work order/project activity and report on progress/deficiencies
- Co-ordinate and schedule technicians onsite for verification and service calls
- Work with our Health and Safety to ensure our technicians are working in conditions in accordance with our health and safety policies and procedures
- Track progress and ensure on-time delivery of critical milestones
- Provide timely responses to inquiries from team members, subcontractors and clients
- Manage conflicting priorities
- Responsible for administrative duties appropriate and necessary for smooth project implementation
- Co-ordinate incoming requests from our clients and other departments
- Update and manage information workflows in our CRM
- Create and send sales orders in accounting software
- Provide outstanding customer service with internal and external customers
- Demonstrate a positive work ethic.
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor with team members and stakeholders
- Create Certificate of Insurance & WSIB Clearance Letters
Skills and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, with or working towards a professional certification or accreditation in the project management field
- Minimum 3 years in construction and MEP project management experience
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to identify, plan, organize, prioritize and execute projects in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic project environment with changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be fluent in English
- Highly skilled in a Windows Office environment, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, a must
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software an asset
