Urban Life Solutions Inc. a privately owned outdoor services provider with offices in Alberta and Ontario. We are looking for an exceptional leader to take on the Branch Manager position in our Edmonton area office.
The successful candidate must possess strong operations experience in outdoor property services and construction, coupled with a commitment to leading by example for their team. You will consistently seek solutions that provide our clients with positive experience and increase profitability for the branch.
This is a dynamic position requiring you to balance day-to-day operations and client management, while maintaining a supportive and safe work environment for all Team Members.
Reporting to the Vice President of Western Canada, responsibilities of our ideal candidate include:
- Motivate and lead the team, by example, to ensure the branch operates safely and injury free.
- Oversee the professional execution and delivery of the landscape maintenance, construction, and snow removal teams, both internally and subcontracted, ensuring objectives are being met.
- Routinely work with the Team in the field providing guidance, training, and leadership.
- Create a mentoring culture for employee development and motivation.
- Oversee scheduling, resource allocation and daily branch operations.
- Review financial statements and budgets and prepare weekly KPI’s.
- Manage local vendor and subcontractor relationships to maximize value in the branch.
- Recommend changes to the policies and goals of the branch and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Participate in recruiting events to attract highly talented team members.
- Network and liaise with clients to generate new revenues.
- Regularly meet with existing clients to ensure we are exceeding their expectations and forecasting future needs.
- Collaborate with your Team Members to provide innovative, efficient solutions for our clients.
- Mentor Team Members to grow into management roles.

Technical / Operational

- Experience with snow & ice management, landscape maintenance, and landscape construction are preferred.
- Create, maintain, and update daily operational reporting to measure safety and field production.
- Regular presence with Operations Team to develop trust and maintain accountability.
- Experience with sales and estimating on outdoor services and construction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ten (10) + years of leadership experience.
- Post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree in business or a related subject.
- Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft systems (Excel, Word, Adobe PDF).
- Strong communication skills.
Remuneration and Benefits
Pay and benefits are competitive based on industry standards.
- Salary will be based on experience. (Range: $100,000 - $130,000)
