Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery such as full size excavators, mini excavators, bobcats, and trucks . This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience in construction environments, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to safety standards. The Equipment Operator will play a vital part in our team providing our clients with expertise and equipment tasks essential to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bobcats and trucks with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, backfilling, and excavation activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bobcats and trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license Class 5 or better
- Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
