Position Overview
The Campbell River Hospital Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and highly professional Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). Based in Campbell River, BC, this on-site role is integral to the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and provides administrative support to both the Executive Director and the Events & Communications Director.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and a strong customer-service orientation. They are comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with a diverse range of stakeholders, and handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and investigate discrepancies as required.
- Prepare and compile year-end financial information and supporting documentation for external audit purposes.
- Coordinate gaming licence applications and ensure all required reporting is completed accurately and on time.
- Administer the staff lottery program, including ticket sales, record keeping, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare Gaming Account Summaries and maintain compliance with all requirements of the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO).
- Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Generate reports and provide administrative support related to financial and donor management activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office administration, bookkeeping, or a related role
- 1-3 Years similar experience
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge or a similar donor database/CRM system is considered an asset
- Proficient in Simply Accounting or similar software
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software
- Experience working in a non-profit, charitable, or healthcare environment is an asset
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage of $25.00–$35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills
- Vacation time and benefits eligibility based on hours worked
