At Soluna, we are building more than a restaurant — we are creating a high-energy fine dining and nightlife experience in the heart of the city. We are currently seeking a skilled, passionate, and detail-oriented Sushi Cook to join our culinary team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced upscale environment, takes pride in presentation and precision, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality and consistency.
Position
Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, maki rolls, and specialty Japanese dishes with consistency and precision
- Ensure all food preparation meets Soluna’s quality, presentation, and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station at all times
- Properly handle and store seafood and ingredients according to health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, prep lists, and ordering needs
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and professionalism in a high-volume environment
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal features when requested
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sushi Cook in a restaurant environment
- Fine dining experience is considered a strong asset
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong teamwork skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and late nights
