Cold Shot is currently looking for a Dispatcher for our Edmonton location. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, and supporting the freight and operations team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Job Duties
- Create, schedule, and dispatch pickup and delivery orders
- Coordinate shipments with drivers and ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with the operations and support team to resolve delivery or routing issues
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with inquiries
- Work with the freight team to ensure shipments are placed in the correct location.
- Monitor daily shipments and update order status in the system
- Collaborate with drivers, operations staff, and other departments to ensure smooth service
- Follow company procedures and safety policies
- Complete tasks listed on the daily operations checklist
- Notify management of any serious issues.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of dispatch, or customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience in the transport or logistics industry is an asset
- Professional appearance and good interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in busy or stressful situations
- Team player with strong customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
