About the position:
We are currently seeking a full time skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and customizing dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures and other dental appliances. This role requires precision attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental materials and techniques. The Dental Technician plays a vital part in supporting dentists and enhancing patient care through high-quality laboratory work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, dentures and veneers based on detailed specification and dental impressions.
- Utilize CAD/CAM (computer-aided design) software to design dental prosthetics with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and process dental materials including waxes, porcelains, composites and metal
- Collaborate with dentists and ensure restorations meet functional and aesthetic requirements
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all tools and properly calibrated and sanitized.
- Follow precise laboratory procedures to ensure the quality and durability of all dental appliances
- Document work processes accurately for patient records and quality control purposes
Skills:
- Familiarity with CAD software used in dental prosthetic design is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Proficient in using dental laboratory tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of dental materials, including acrylics and wires.
- Ability to read and interpret dental prescriptions and models.
- Fluent in English.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree
- Trade diploma / certificate
- 2 years or more working in dental laboratory
- ability to work independently and as part of a team.
