Consider joining Proudfoots Home Hardware Building Centres in a part-time capacity at either our Stellarton or Pictou stores. Proudfoots is a locally owned family business that has been serving Pictou County since the 1930s.
This position is for flexible personalities who enjoy the challenge of various environments. Responsibilities will include revolving duties between departments (Paint/Housewares/Seasonal) and operating the cash register. Training will be provided. Department work is a mix of retail tasks such as stocking shelves, price checking, tidying, cleaning, and dusting, all while providing excellent customer service. Experience is an asset but not essential; if you're willing to learn, we'll help you get there.
Requirements: Our preferred candidate is cheerful, hard working, and great team players. An ability to use computers is essential. Some lifting is required (paint cans, other consumer goods) and must be comfortable climbing ladders. Hours will vary but basically the commitment for these positions is 15-30 hours per week (depending on your preferences/availability and our needs). All staff participate in our bi-weekly bonus program and are eligible for an in-store discount. These positions require daytime availability and therefore is not suitable for students.
