The position consists of the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment. Understanding and the ability to communicate regulatory requirements. Review, update and complete OHS program updates as identified by incidents, audits and JOHSC teams. Building of new company programs, supporting project teams in Emergency Response Planning. Review, updates and complete internal company training programs related to safety. Completing Job Safety breakdowns were required for projects. Support and train supervisors and managers in internal safety programs. Support company onboarding process and New Worker (<25 years) programs. Review all incident and close call submissions and create recommendations and complete incident investigations. Support employees and manager in Injury Management and Return to Work Programs. Audit employee adherence to company programs. Review, compile and reporting company safety statistics for manager and external clients. Build and communicate company-wide safety alerts and other safety communications. Ability to work remotely (camp) to support external projects.
Qualifications:
- 3 years in a safety role or discipline, Natural Resources, or Forestry is an asset.
- A certificate in Occupational Health and Safety would be an asset.
- Class 5 drivers license.
- Experience with writing programs, policies, and procedures for health and safety.
- Excellent knowledge of legislation and procedures.
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
